Setting Up Your SalesPRO System
You should have all your employees that will be using the SalesPRO system setup in the system as a unique “User”. Each User should have their own Logon User Name and password and security settings. Solatech does not recommend using the Administrator Logon or Security Settings for any of your users. This Video shows you how to setup your employees in your SalesPRO system
Discount Groups allows you to setup multiple variations of a set of discounts or margins at the product level (or deeper) to use during the sales process. Each Discount Group can be assigned to one or more Customers to allow customized pricing as needed by the customer.

Vendor discount setup will allow you to calculate your costs by maintaining your factor for each product & vendor in your system. Even though Solatech sets this up for you when a system is delivered, you are able to make adjustments as needed in the future. Once your Costs are calculated in Solatech using your Vendor discounts, the system will automatically calculate the Retail selling price for your customers based upon the Margin or Discount you setup for a Discount Group and then associate with a customer. This video will show you how to use the Discount Groups in your system to automatically calculate your selling price and change it at the customer or order level as desired.

The Pricing Center feature in the SalesPRO system was created to provide an easy way to view, validate and update the pricing configuration in your SalesPRO system.
The SalesPRO system has a lot of different lists and items to select from available by default in your system, but these lists can be updated by you from the Maintenance menu in SalesPRO. This video show you how to make those adjustments as needed.

Once you have a customer and discounts setup, you are ready to create a quote. This video will walk you through the process of creating and working with quotes. Keep in mind that although you will have more functionality with a Sale, but for the most part Sales and Quotes function the same in the SalesPRO system.

From the Edit Product Item screen in Order Entry, you select all the options and decisions necessary to add a product as a line item to a Quote or Sale [Adding a Product to a Quote (KB)] If you select to view the Breakdown tab in the Edit Product Item screen, you’ll see all the information on where the prices for this product comes from and how your Retail price was calculated. This video will show you in detail simply how pricing works in your SalesPRO system for the complicated products supported. There is a lot of flexibility in the user’s ability to manage your pricing, but first you have to understand how it works. This video will demonstrate that for you.

Once you’ve provided all the information your customer needed to make a buying decision while you were in the home, the final step will be to get their “John Hancock” on the dotted line. Of course you can print out the quote or order confirmation and use a pen, but with the professional presentation of the SalesPRO system, most folks prefer to “print” to the tablet Screen and capture the signature on a PDF form right in Solatech. This video walks you through this process that will impress your clients while saving trees and allowing you to go paperless.

Your SalesPRO system comes preloaded with several process reports. If the reports don’t completely meet your needs they can be modified. This video will get you started modifying your reports.

Before you can create a quote, you need to have a customer in the system to select from the quote. Since the Discount Group is assigned to a customer, you need to have a customer for accurate pricing to be calculated. A Miscellaneous or “Walk In” customer can be setup as well to be used when you don’t want to add all the info for a new Customer. This video will show you how to create a add a new Customer.
