Remote Support for Windows

Solatech Quick Support is available for: Windows macOS iOS

Solatech Quick Support lets a technician see your screen and resolve software issues with you. Nothing is installed permanently — the session ends the moment you close the window.

Windows · Solatech Quick Support (TeamViewerQS.exe) · no install, no admin rights · not sure which? The standard download works on every version of Windows.

  1. Step 1: Download the Quick Support file

Download Solatech Quick Support and save it to your desktop — it does not install.

  2. Step 2: Start the app

If you are prompted to Open or Run the app, click Run. Otherwise double-click the TeamViewerQS.exe file that downloaded (it may be in your Downloads folder). If Windows security asks you to allow the app to make changes, click Yes.

  3. Step 3: Share your ID and password with Support

Once Quick Support has started, tell Solatech Support the ID and password shown under “Share your ID and password with the expert” in the app window.

  4. Step 4: Watch and end it

You see everything the technician does and can take the mouse back at any time. Close the window to end the session immediately.

In less than a minute, Solatech Support will connect and help resolve your software issues. If you are having trouble getting started, contact support and we will walk you through it.

What the technician sees

Read your ID and password from the Quick Support window to your technician.

The Quick Support window. Under "Share your ID and password with the expert"
it shows a Your ID field and a Password field side by side.
Example — your own ID and password will be different.

Before you connect

  • Be at the computer with the problem on screen — not a phone or tablet.
  • Close anything personal: email, banking, private documents.
  • Have the vendor and product line you are working with handy.
  • Sessions are logged. We never connect without you starting Quick Support.
  • Solatech will never call you first and ask for your ID and password.

If it will not connect

“Not ready. Please check your connection.”
Your network is blocking the connection. Try a phone hotspot, or ask IT to allow teamviewer.com on ports 5938 and 443.
The window never opens after I run it.
Check the Downloads folder for a blocked file: right-click, Properties, then Unblock. Antivirus quarantine is the other usual cause.
The technician cannot control my mouse.
Some versions open view-only. Accept the control prompt when it appears, or restart Quick Support and allow full access.
