Remote Support for iPad and iPhone

Solatech Quick Support is available for: Windows macOS iOS

On iPad and iPhone a technician can watch your screen while you work and talk you through what to do. Apple does not allow remote control of an iOS device, so this is screen sharing only — nobody else can tap, type or open anything on your device.

iPad and iPhone · TeamViewer QuickSupport · free on the App Store

  1. Step 1: Install QuickSupport from the App Store

Get TeamViewer QuickSupport from the App Store. It is free and takes a moment to install.

  2. Step 2: Open the app

Open QuickSupport. It shows an ID, generated fresh each time — there is nothing to sign in to and no account to create.

  3. Step 3: Give your ID to Support

Read the ID to the technician you are speaking to. They use it to ask for a session, and your device asks you to allow it before anything is shared.

  4. Step 4: Start sharing your screen

Accept the prompt, then choose Start Broadcast when iOS asks. A red bar or dot at the top of the screen means sharing is live — if it is not there, nothing is being shared.

  5. Step 5: Stop when you are done

Tap the red bar and choose Stop, or close QuickSupport. Sharing ends immediately and the ID stops working.

In less than a minute, Solatech Support will connect and help resolve your software issues. If you are having trouble getting started, contact support and we will walk you through it.

Before you connect

  • Have the problem on screen on the device you are sharing from.
  • Close anything personal: mail, banking, photos, private messages.
  • Notifications show up on a shared screen. Turn on Do Not Disturb first if that matters.
  • The technician can see your screen but cannot control your device — you do the tapping.
  • Sessions are logged. We never connect without you starting QuickSupport.
  • Solatech will never call you first and ask for your ID and password.

If it will not connect

The technician says they cannot see anything.
Sharing has not started. Look for the red bar or dot at the top of the screen — without it nothing is being shared. Reopen QuickSupport and choose Start Broadcast.
Sharing stops when I switch to another app.
It should not. Check that Screen Recording is available in Control Centre and that Screen Time is not restricting it.
The technician wants to fix it for me.
They cannot on an iPad or iPhone — Apple does not allow it. For anything that needs hands on the software, start Quick Support on the Windows or Mac computer instead.
